Mark van Londen, a beloved member of our footvolley community, passed away on September 2, 2024 due to illness. Born on April 15, 1970, in the Netherlands, he was a pioneer in the sport of footvolley, leaving an indelible mark on its growth and development. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Susanna, and their daughters, Nami and Liv. His memory and legacy will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and our entire footvolley community.

The 2024 European Footvolley Championship concluded with a resounding victory for the defending champions, Israel (Men) and Austria (Women). Held in the picturesque French city of Bastia, the tournament showcased the sport's growing popularity and intense competition.

The European Footvolley Championship 2023, held in the picturesque coastal town of Albufeira, Portugal, featured both men's and women's categories and saw fierce competition from the top teams across Europe. However in the men's category, Israel’s strongest team with Ron Ben Ishai and Maor Haas emerged as the European champions 2023 after another convincing win against the Italian duo Alain Faccini and Federico Iacopucci, vice-champions once more.

Rome, Italy - The first-ever edition of the Footvolley World League concluded in breathtaking fashion The favorites from Brazil won both the men’s and the women’s final and crowned themselves the undisputed World League champions.

The annual EFVL Congress 2023 took place in Albufeira, Portugal from 5-7 May. For 3 days we discussed and planned the next steps of footvolley in Europe.

From June 8-11, 2023, Rome will host one of the most exciting and entertaining sports events of the year - the Footvolley World League. The event is set to attract footvolley enthusiasts from around the world, as sixteen male teams and eight female teams compete in this high-energy, sand-based sport.

The European Footvolley Championship 2022 was a thrilling competition that saw some of the best footvolley teams from across the continent come together to compete for the coveted title. The event was held in Rome, Italy, with both men's and women's categories being contested.

Last weekend we saw some amazing footvolley when the first ever EFVL World Challenge was held in Graz, Austria. Teams from all around the world gathered at the beautiful and historical Freiheits Platz to find out who are the best teams in the world.

Israel is the new European Footvolley Champion. Until now both France (2016, 2018) and Portugal (2017, 2019) won the European men’s title two times. But in this 5th edition Israel’s top athletes Ron Ben Ishay and Maor Haas secured this historical first title.

Former champions Norway and Netherlands sent their finest. But in the end Austria, represented by the youngsters Antonia Missethan (22) and Julia Rauch (23), won the title. In fact, every single person at the stadium or at home who watched this spectacular Women’s League felt like a winner.

Portugal proves to be the strongest team in 2019 and beat the up and coming Italian team in the men’s final in Lucerne, Switzerland. This marks the end of the European Footvolley League 2019 and we can look back at four amazing events in Austria, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland.

Women’s footvolley is growing fast in Europe and this season there’s been 21 different players from 8 nations playing 55 games. A lot has happened in just a few years. Netherlands and Italy has had their share of good players for many years, but out of nowhere come two twin sisters from Norway and they end up winning all four tournaments of the European Footvolley League 2019.
